Thank You, Thank You, Thank You
April was a very busy and exciting month for our school. The Harlem Wizards might not have resulted in a month of no homework for the kids but the game smashed previous records of ticket sales, raffle sales, and concessions. My favorite part of the whole evening was seeing everyone on the court, singing and dancing, celebrating our community and having a wonderful time. We are all part of this great community and when we come together, we not only achieve success, we have a LOT of fun! We could not have done it without the hard work and dedication of my fellow committee members Nikki Khan, Margo Ferro, Mahesh Gopinathan, Kim Neale, Claire Radon, Danielle Terwilliger, Sandy Toner, and Ben Weldon. Thank you to Tricia Lentz for a beautiful team display that started at SFE and made it to CR South for the big game. A very special thank you to the Angelakis family for donating the beverages and to our parent volunteers Sara Bonstein, Grace Ciccimaro, Jordan Fried, Amanda & Paul Frake, Leslie Geib, Jennifer Egbert, Stacey Keeler, Kimberly Lantz, Nicolette Myslinksi, Kevin Ogborn, Jody Passanante, Ashley & John Shepardson, Katy Shuck, Greg Silvesti, Kristen Tormenti, and Wendy Nowicki, who all showed up and helped contribute to the event's enormous success. Finally, let's hear it one last time for the 2022 SFE Dream Team and cheerleaders, we really couldn't have done it without you!
Thank you to Nikki Khan, Rose Weldon, and our homeroom parents for putting together awesome raffle baskets, and all the parents that came in to sell and help fill out tickets for the Spring Raffle Baskets. I wish everyone could have heard the students cheering and their screams of excitement for their classmates and friends as Mr. Harlan announced the winners.
Thank you to our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee for another great Diversity Week. The family flags continue to decorate the front hall and the students enjoyed their grade level assemblies.
Thank you to Kate Casciano and Erin Martin for a fantastic, fun filled evening at the OWLympics. It's always a fun time when parents get matched up against the kids, especially when it includes dizzy bats, soccer, relay races, and so much more. Everyone had a blast even if some of us were a bit rusty on our dodgeball skills.
Thank you for all your support and I hope to see you at our last meeting on June 3rd!
