It's exciting to see so many of the traditional SFE activities back! it's going to be a busy second half of the school year! Be sure to review the details below so you don't miss out on any of the fun.

Here are some updates from our recent PTO meeting:

  • The SFE renovation project is well underway. Representatives from the facilities and construction teams will provide an update at our next PTO meeting (March 4).
  • Congratulations to the cast and crew of Matilda! And, thank you to the staff and volunteers that helped make it happen. The kids had so much fun and it was amazing to see it all come together.
  • The PTO sponsored Brent Daniels assembly was a big hit and the new virtual format seemed to work great.
  • Thanks to all who donated supplies for indoor recess. The staff and students are excited about the new activities.
  • The PTO is sponsoring a February service project, during which 1st-3rd grade will make cards and 4th-6th will make no sew blankets to be donated.
  • While we can't hold our traditional spring fair this year, we are excited to bring the raffle baskets back.
  • School board representative Yota Palli provided an update on recent school board activity and listened to our feedback.
  • Mr. Harlan provided an update on the SOAR program, which will now have a PBIS (positive behavior and intervention support) component. SOAR meetings for each grade will take place between February 15 and 22. The goal of the PBIS is to make students more accountable for their behavior.
